Dubai Fountain Area Closed for Renovation – What You Need to Know Before Planning Your Photoshoot

If you’re planning a photoshoot in Downtown Dubai, here’s an important update you should know: The Dubai Fountain area is currently closed for renovation and will remain inaccessible until October. This temporary closure impacts several popular photography spots including:

  • The bridge area overlooking the fountain
  • The dandelion sculpture area
  • The staircase view near Burj Khalifa

These areas are typically in high demand for their stunning backdrops, especially for family, couple, and fashion photoshoots. However, due to ongoing construction and safety barriers, photoshoots in these locations are currently not possible.

Where Can We Shoot Instead?

The Mexican Wings area, located nearby, is still open and accessible. It offers a unique and vibrant setting that continues to be a favorite for solo portraits, couple shoots, and creative sessions. While we wait for the fountain area to reopen, this spot remains a fantastic alternative for capturing stylish and memorable moments.

Plan Ahead
If you were hoping to capture shots with the Dubai Fountain or surrounding iconic views, we recommend either:

Postponing your shoot until after October, when the area is expected to reopen, or
Choosing alternative beautiful locations in Dubai such as the desert, Burj Al Arab beach, or other landmarks we can suggest.
We’ll continue to monitor the renovation progress and will update you as soon as these popular areas become available again.
